REFLECTION

Definition

Reflection, n.. Choice of a thought-mode.

Comments

Attention to a thought-mode introduces choice into the reflex-loop, thus interrupting its automatic cycle of perceive → imagine → habit → react. Verb form “to reflect” is to make such a choice. Notice that will’s attention can choose any of intellect’s past-time or present-time reasons. See reflection-loop and Table 26, Reflection-loop.
