Symbols-association, n.. Association of symbols of a given type.

Comments

Symbols-association is association of an idea with the symbolic-meaning of another idea. See type and Table 8, Symbol & Type. Although it is not properly a link-mode, it is type’s counterpart of parts-association link-mode of thing. Association by meaning of a type’s symbols suggests that they occur sequentially, and thus are learned (as contrasted with grouping of parts of a thing’s parts). Parts concur, implying space, but symbols are learned, implying time.
